    Aishwarya Rai Tests Positive for Coronavirus
    Indian actress Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan and Aaradhya, her daughter with Abhishek Bachchan, were announced Sunday as having tested positive for Covid-19.

    Their diagnoses follow the earlier revelation that veteran Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, one of the most influential actors in the history of Indian cinema, and his son Abhishek (Amazon Original series “Breathe: Into the Shadows”) had tested positive. The two men were admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital on Saturday.

    News about Aishwarya Rai, star of “Devdas” and “Jodhaa Akbar,” and Aaradhya appeared to be announced on Sunday by Maharashtra health minister Rajesh Tope on Twitter. He said that renowned senior actress Jaya Bachchan tested negative. However, his tweet was subsequently deleted. The information was subsequently confirmed to news agency Afp by local health officials, and then by Abhishek Bachchan on Twitter.

    Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan Tests Positive for Coronavirus
    Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, one of the most influential actors in the history of Indian cinema, has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital.

    His son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, whose Amazon Original series “Breathe: Into the Shadows” bowed on Prime on Friday, has also tested positive.

    “I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..,” Bachchan tweeted Saturday evening. “All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !”

    This year’s virtual Comic-Con@Home has announced its schedule for Saturday, July 25. The highlights are below.

    The virtual event replaces the annual San Diego Comic-Con, the largest fan convention in North America, which was to be held July 22–26 at the San Diego Convention Center, until the Covid-19 pandemic forced its cancellation.

    In June, Comic-Con International — the non-profit organization that oversees Sdcc and its sister event, WonderCon in Anaheim, Calif. — announced it was moving forward with the virtual event on the same dates. This time, however, the event is free and open to all.

    Naya Rivera Search Scaled Down Amid Difficult Diving Conditions
    The search for “Glee” star Naya Rivera continues on Lake Piru in Ventura County, Calif., but searchers have scaled back operations amid difficult conditions underwater.

    Rivera went missing after renting a boat with her 4-year-old son on Wednesday afternoon. After she did not return to the rental stand on time, workers found her boat on the north end of the lake. Her son was asleep on board, and her life jacket and purse were on the boat, but Rivera was nowhere to be found.

    Based on an interview with the boy, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department believes that she accidentally drowned in the lake.

    Apple Acquires Jake Gyllenhaal Graphic Novel Adaptation ‘Snow Blind’
    Apple Studios has acquired the rights to adapt the thriller “Snow Blind,” a thriller based on a graphic novel of the same name that will star Jake Gyllenhaal, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

    Gustav M?ller (“The Guilty”) will direct the film based on the story by Ollie Masters and published by Boom! Studios in 2017. Patrick Ness is writing the screenplay.

    Snow Blind” tells the story of a high school student in Alaska whose life is turned upside down when he posts a photo of his dad online. He soon thereafter learns that he and his family are in the Witness Protection Program and are now being hunted by not only the FBI but also a man out for revenge who invades their small town.

    HBO Cancels ‘Run’ Thriller Series From Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Vicky Jones After One Season
    HBO has put an end to “Run,” the romantic thriller series from “Fleabag” duo Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Vicky Jones.

    The series, which only lasted for one season, premiered on April 12 and finished up its seven-episode run on May 24. It starred Merritt Wever and Domhnall Gleason.

    “After exploring potential ways of continuing Ruby and Billy’s journey, together with showrunner Vicky Jones, we have come to the decision that we will not be moving forward with a second season of Run,” a spokesperson for HBO said in a statement to TheWrap.

    Netflix has optioned the Stephen King short story “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone” for both Blumhouse and Ryan Murphy to produce as a feature film, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

    John Lee Hancock is attached to write and direct the feature that is the latest story from the master of horror’s collection of novellas “If It Bleeds,” which has landed on the New York Times bestsellers list.

    In “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone,” a young boy befriends an older billionaire who lives in his small-town neighborhood as they bond over the man’s first iPhone. But when the man passes away, the boy discovers that not everything dead is gone, and finds himself able to communicate with his friend from the grave by leaving voicemails on the iPhone that was buried with him.

    Josh Cooley to Direct Live-Action ‘Little Monsters’ at Universal
    Josh Cooley, the director and writer of Pixar’s “Toy Story 4,” will next direct an all-ages film called “Little Monsters” at Universal, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

    Little Monsters” will be a live-action and animation hybrid that will bring Universal’s classic monster movie characters to a new generation. The film will be inspired by the artwork, outlines and character designs of famed concept artist Mark “Crash” McCreery, who is best known for his work on films like the original “Jurassic Park” trilogy, “Rango” and “Van Helsing.”

    Cooley is writing the script and will also direct. Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman of Mandeville Films will produce. McCreery will executive produce.
